MPS Foundation online symposium on AI safety
Avoiding the AI ‘Off-Switch’: Make AI Work for Clinicians, to Deliver for Patients. This event follows the publication of a ground-breaking white paper based on findings from the Shared CAIRE (Shared Care AI Role Evaluation) research project, which was funded by The MPS Foundation, and will explore some of the key challenges and opportunities presented by AI.
The healthcare sector is one of the largest areas for AI investment globally and is central to many nations’ public policies for more efficient, responsive healthcare systems. Join leading experts and researchers as they discuss the challenges, benefits, and ethical concerns surrounding AI in healthcare.
Speakers will include:
- Professor Tom Lawton, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, on testing clinician attitudes to AI use and responsibility
- Professor Ibrahim Habli, Centre for Assuring Autonomy, on why AI must work for clinicians
- Professor Philip Morgan, York University, on the legal challenges and considerations of AI
By attending this symposium, you can deepen your understanding of AI’s risks, benefits, and regulatory framework, and learn how to safely incorporate AI tools into your practice. This is a rapidly evolving landscape, and we want to ensure that AI works for you, so your patients benefit, by sharing learning and thoughts from leaders in the field.
