Why should I become a member of ASSA?
ASSA represents surgeons in South Africa and together we advocate for change for the benefit of surgeons and surgical patient care. ASSA provides a unified voice with proactive involvement in the national agenda regarding healthcare. ASSA membership provides access to reduced rates for the biennial ASSA congress and the ASSA national weekly tutorial and teaching platforms.
How do I register as a member of ASSA?
To access members-only content on this website, you need to
- be a member of ASSA, and
- register on this website.
If you are already a member of ASSA, you only need to register on this website using the same email address and personal details as you used to register as a member of ASSA. Once you have registered on the site, our administrators will manually approve your membership.
If you are not a member of ASSA but would like to be, registering on this site will automatically send us the required details for registration as a member. We will then contact you regarding payment. Once payment has been received, we will manually approve your membership.

HDip.Surg: R760
International Member: R485
