About the presenters
Prof Damon Bizos
Prof Bizos is a general surgeon and surgical gastroenterologist in private practice, and Clinical Head of Surgery at WDGMC. He is a Visiting Adjunct Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand, where he served as Academic Head of Surgical Gastroenterology from 2008 to 2023.
Mr Emiel Van Vuuren SC
Mr Van Vuuren is a senior counsel whose practice includes medical and professional negligence, commercial litigation, insurance and arbitration. He has also served as an arbitrator and appeal arbitrator in a range of disputes.
