Why Should I Become A Member of ASSA?

ASSA membership has, amongst others, the benefit of a reduced rate of registration for the Biennial ASSA congress, and as of 2013 free and full online access the British Journal of Surgery.

Please note that we no longer offer access to the Annals of Surgery.

How Do I Register As A Member of ASSA?

To access members-only content on this website, you need to

  • be a member of ASSA, and
  • register on this website.

If you are already a member of ASSA, you only need to register on this website using the same email address and personal details as you used to register as a member of ASSA. Once you have registered on the site, our administrators will manually approve your membership.

If you are not a member of ASSA but would like to be, registering on this site will automatically send us the required details for registration as a member. We will then contact you regarding payment. Once payment has been received, we will manually approve your membership.

Full Member: R1 800
Associate Member: R500
International Member: R300
Retired Member: R300
